Château de Lavernette Saint-Amour En Chatenay 2023
A powerful yet elegant Saint-Amour from biodynamically farmed Gamay, with kirsch, violet and spice framed by fine tannins and impressive freshness.
🍇 About the wine
En Chatenay 2023 is Château de Lavernette’s structured expression of Saint-Amour, the most northerly of the Beaujolais crus. Gamay is grown organically and biodynamically and given a long maceration, building breadth and depth while preserving the floral lift and freshness associated with the appellation.
The wine is particularly rewarding with a little bottle age, when its youthful fruit opens into a more layered combination of spice, savoury notes and fine mineral character.
