La Casa di Bricciano

Rory de Pentheny O'Kelly is the driving force behind La Casa di Bricciano, a tiny family-owned organic estate nestled in the rolling hills just south of Gaiole in Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany's Chianti Classico region.

Today, he continues the vision started by his father, Peter de Pentheny O'Kelly, who purchased the abandoned estate in 1990 and transformed it into an artisanal winery dedicated to quality, sustainability, and respect for nature. After Peter's passing, Rory took over the estate, preserving its philosophy while bringing a new generation of passion and precision to the wines.

Surrounded by forests, olive groves and only a few hectares of vineyards, Rory produces just around 12,000 bottles per year. Every wine is crafted exclusively from estate-grown organic grapes, with meticulous attention from vineyard to bottle. Working alongside renowned consultant oenologist Vittorio Fiore, Rory creates elegant, age-worthy Chianti Classico wines that combine the authenticity of Sangiovese with the refinement of careful barrel ageing. The result is a collection of handcrafted wines that perfectly capture the character of Gaiole in Chianti: pure, balanced and unmistakably Tuscan.
