A refined biodynamic Pouilly-Fuissé from a west-facing limestone site in Chaintré, combining ripe stone fruit and citrus with herbal spice, saline freshness and a precise mineral core.

🍇 About the wine

Château de Lavernette Maison du Villard 2023 is a dry white Pouilly-Fuissé made from Chardonnay grown on the southern side of the appellation around Chaintré. The Maison du Villard parcel has a western exposure and limestone-rich soils, giving the grapes generous ripeness while retaining the freshness and mineral definition typical of the site.

The vines are farmed organically and biodynamically and harvested by hand. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and the wine is fermented with a natural, low-intervention approach before ageing on its lees in tank, preserving purity, texture and terroir expression.

🏆 Ratings & reviews
