A luminous, mineral-driven organic and biodynamic white from the Roussillon, combining floral finesse, citrus freshness, fine texture and a long saline finish.

🍇 About the wine

Domaine Roc des Anges Llum 2023 is a dry IGP Côtes Catalanes white from Montner in the Roussillon. “Llum” means “light” in Catalan, a fitting name for a wine defined by clarity, energy and mineral precision.

The 2023 is sourced from 20 small parcels on the cool northern slopes of Força Réal. The vines range from 5 to 100 years old and grow on shallow ancient Ordovician schist rich in silica and iron, together with ochre clays and limestone pebbles from the Agly terraces. The blend brings together Grenache Gris, Maccabeu, Grenache Blanc, Carignan Blanc and Gris, and Malvoisie. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in large wooden vats, followed by eight months of ageing in seasoned 500 L and 228 L barrels.

Appearance: Pale, bright gold.
Nose: Elegant and layered, with pear, lemon peel, white flowers and almond blossom, followed by subtle notes of beeswax, smoke and warm spice.
Palate: Fresh, precise and finely textured, driven by citrus, delicate spice and vibrant acidity. A distinct saline character brings tension, depth and excellent balance.
Finish: Long, mineral and mouth-watering, with lingering citrus and almond notes.
