Château de la Viaudière a vineyard in the Pays de la Loire region in the heart of the "Coteaux du Layon" appellation. A tributary of the Loire, the Layon is located on the fault line of two major geological entities in Anjou: the Armorican Basin to the west and the Paris Basin to the east. This geological break is reflected in the landscape by sometimes steep south-facing slopes, cultivating vines on terraces.
The wines produced are from the classical Anjou, sweet wines from the Coteaux du Layon and last but not least the famous Crémant de Loire.
