The first nose offers us aromas of wild berries. Blackcurrant is king here, fresh and delicious. The powdery notes of cocoa and liquorice are subtly linked to this fruit to compose a complex aromatic picture. The attack is frank, round, with a beautiful melted tannic structure which allows it to improve over the years. We find in the mouth the fruity aromatic palette. It reminds us of the blackcurrant jelly of our childhood. The roasted notes of mocha mingle with a discreet camphor weft, giving it that grain of character and its length in the mouth.
For this intimate cuvée we carry out “integral vinification” which means that all vinification and aging operations are done in 400L French oak barrels.
Excellent on a 7 hour lamb. For those with a sweet tooth, a dark chocolate and red fruit mousse should be a pleasant companion for this bottle.
