Wine Pairing Salmon smoked or marinated
Many types of white wine go with smoked salmon: pinot gris, riesling, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc. However, these white wines should be with a beautiful texture and have pronounced woody notes.
Champagne is also a great choice but again should have a strong character, so Pinot Noir blends would be a great choice.
For lovers of red wine, I would opt for a pinot noir.
A well-known Scandinavian dish with marinated salmon is "gravad lax". Wine suggestions: Sauvignon Blanc (possibly in a blend with Semillon), Grüner Veltliner from Austria, Riesling from Alsace or Germany.
