This plot is close to the Rhoin, a prolific stream that crosses Savigny-les-Beaune. The word "Les Peuillets" is a derivative of the old French "Pol" meaning pond, marsh.
Beneath an intensely deep purplish ruby color, the nose opens with a myriad of aromas such as strawberry, pomegranate, gooseberry and blood orange. Very promising, the mouth confirms this olfactory complexity by completing it with notes of violet, sweet spices and roasting. It's a beautiful balance that flows along our taste buds. A frank and bewitching wine. This wine calls for tasty dishes such as orange guinea fowl supreme with tangy carrots and pumpkin, guinea fowl with grapes or game birds.
