Weingut Keßler Spätburgunder trocken 2021
A solid very approcable Pinot Noir from Rheinhessen in Germany.
Tasting Profile
Colour & appearance: Light to medium ruby.
Aroma / Bouquet: Red berries like cherry, raspberry and dried herbs. A subtle vanilla can be observed influenced by he barrel ageing.
Palate (taste): Pretty elegant, lighter body; moderate tannins—not aggressive, and very smooth; dry; decent acidity giving freshness. A somewhat gentle, more delicate style of Pinot Noir rather than big, powerful red.
Finish: Clean, moderately long; fruit lingers; oak influence shows in the aftertaste (light spice and toast).
Food Pairing
This kind of wine should pair well with:
Lighter meats: roasted chicken, pork, veal - Game birds - Mushrooms / earthy flavours - Grilled vegetables - Soft cheeses (brie, camembert, etc.) - Dishes with light sauces - nothing too heavy or very spicy.
Value & Style Comparison
