🥂 Tasting Notes
Vintage & Region: 2017, Ribera del Duero DO, Spain.
Grape & Vinification: 100% Tempranillo. Hand-harvested high-altitude vines, matured for months in French oak barrels. Limited edition, numbered.
Appearance: Deep cherry-ruby with luminous rim and maturity-hinted garnet reflections.
Aroma: Elegant and refined. You’ll discern dark cherry and black plum, underpinned by subtle balsamic notes, forest-floor nuance, tobacco leaf and hints of French oak spice (vanilla, cedar).
Palate: Medium-to-full body; finely polished tannins; vivid yet mature fruit. The balsamic and woody elements add complexity while the altitude-influenced freshness keeps the wine poised and elegant.
Finish: Long and contemplative — the balsamic lift lingers, supported by minerality and subtle spice, inviting reflection.
Food Pairing: Ideally paired with fine grilled beef, aged game, aromatic stews, or sophisticated cheese boards. Serve at 16-18 °C; decanting is recommended for best expression.
Ageing Potential: Already showing excellent maturity in 2025 but built to evolve further over 8-12 + years under proper cellar conditions.
