Tasting Notes

Bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose is aromatic and elegant, showing citrus zest, green apple, pear, white peach, acacia blossom and subtle herbal notes. On the palate, it is dry, lively and well-balanced, with fresh acidity, a rounded fruit texture and a clean mineral finish. Pecorino from Abruzzo is typically marked by freshness, sapidity and floral-fruity aromas, often with citrus, green apple and mineral notes.

Food Pairing

Excellent as an aperitif and with seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, vegetable antipasti, fresh cheeses, light pasta dishes, risotto with herbs, white meats and Mediterranean salads. Marramiero Pecorino is commonly recommended with fish, appetizers and fresh cheeses, which fits the fresh, mineral style of the grape.
