This Clos Vougeot offers a seductive color, a deep purple with violet nuances. Sweet fragrances are dispersed in the air as the wine becomes oxygenated. Flowery scents of violets as well as sweet scents of red cherry, blackberry, oak and spices such as green pepper, charm our nostrils. And what character on the palate! The palate is filled with a generous volume, a structured power characterizes this cuvée. The length and hold are remarkable. A delight! You will enjoy it by pairing it with a duck breast with cherries, lamb or a boar stew with cognac. To be forgotten in the cellar at least 7-8 years before putting it on the table. Ideally to be enjoyed over the next 15 to 20 years or more depending on the vintage.
