Well structured wine, full body, velvety soft, spicy. Easy to drink Chianti, very balanced between red berries, sangio herbs, fine tannins and fresh backbone. No overripeness and very accessible once the bottle is uncorked.
Chianti Classico goes very well with meat dishes such as ossobuco, leg of lamb, lamb chops, roast beef in Madeira sauce, wild duck, game and pizza with meat. Also goes well with young fresh cheeses such as English Cheshire, Dutch young or mature Gouda cheese and Italian taleggio.
