It is the wine that best expresses this region, namely the almost pure Sangiovese plus 2% Ancellotta, with a strong character. Red fruit and concentrated notes of black fruit. Perfectly integrated wood flavor while maintaining freshness through the acidity of the Sangiovese grape. Very good length.
Sangiovese and tomato is a classic combination. Combine the wine with tomato-based dishes, such as pasta with red sauce. Spaghetti and meatballs, the American dish with Italian influences, famous all over the world, or preparations with marinara sauce, such as ravioli alla marinara, are brilliant combinations with Sangiovese. Steaks are also very good with this wine, especially entre-côte with a bit of fat.
