The name of the vineyard, that enjoys a beautiful location in the village of Castellinaldo, comes from “marasca”, a variety of cherries once quite commonly grown throughout in Roero vineyards. The key in producing this truly intense and elegant wine is with a green harvest, a thinning out process during the growing season that allows the remaining grapes to over-mature on the plant. This wine is produced only in the very best vintages. Deep ruby colour with violet reflections. In the nose it shows notes of baked red fruit, cherries, sweet spices, followed by a great warmth, structure and elegance in the mouth.
Pairs well with main courses or simply like a meditation wine.
