- Nuits Saint Georges Domaine Guyon 'Les Herbues' 2012
Pinot Noir - 12 months aged in oak barrels. Drink 2017 - 2027. Intense and dark color. Powerful and complex aromas, combining cherry, blackcurrant and fur with spicy notes. Tannic wine, corpulent with slight sweetness. With this wine we serve game terrines, deer stew, duck tournedos with grapes, duck stew, partridge stew with chestnuts, wild duck with bitter orange. Serve 14° -15° C.
- Gigondas Montirius Terre des Aînés 2014
Grenache, Mourvèdre. Without added sulphites. Drink 2018 - 2027. A lovely deep dark red wine. On the nose it has hints of liquorice, violets and black fruits. In the mouth, it is both delicate and powerful. Tannins with a noble texture. The aromas found on the nose are also discovered in the mouth. Pair with kidneys, chicken livers, cold meats, strong cheeses, game and red meat.
- Rioja Bagordi Usoa de Bagordi Reserva 2008
70% Tempranillo, 30% Graciano - 18 months in oak barrels. Dark cherry red colour with glimmers of ruby. Stable, clean and bright with an ample tear. An exceptionally expressive wine with a complex aroma: suggestions of red fruit and dark compote on the nose along with strains of musk and toast ending up with bitter cocoa. Full and flavoursome texture. Suggestions of dark skinned stone fruit, slightly sharp tannin implying freshness. Spicy chocolate with a prolonged afatertaste. This wine goes fantastic with small game and stews, such as with hare, lamb or ox tail. Great companion to well-matured cheeses (manchego), paella and broiled or grilled. Serve 16-18° C.
