Pure Merlot. Garnet red with purple reflections. Typical nose, red fruit, strawberry and blueberry. Balanced body, well-blended tannins in a beautiful long and persistent finish.
This Merlot pairs excellently with red meats such as beef, lamb, and venison. Try serving it with a juicy steak, roast beef, or grilled lamb chops. You can also serve this wine with tomato-based pasta dishes and mild to strong cheese.
From the highest vineyard of the winery. The spontaneous fermentations take place in French oak vats without controlled temperatures, in which the wine then ages for about thirty months, with a minimum of six months of refinement in the bottle. Precisely because of the difficulty of growing Merlot grapes in such an extreme area, Profeta is only produced in certain years.
